courses. After rereading the materials given by the lecturer, I have a better
understanding of Features story aspects, learning about editorials also gave me
a better understanding when practising the assignments given. A feature story
is a type of journalistic work or writing that goes beyond the basic facts of a
news event and explores the deeper, more human aspects of a story. of a news

C. SUMMARY
A
feature story is a form of journalistic or creative writing that transcends
basic facts to explore the profound and human aspects of a narrative. Key
elements include a focus on human interest, character development, a narrative
structure, descriptive language, emotional engagement, conflict and resolution,
background context, quotes, thematic depth, unique perspectives, research,
multimedia elements, the author's voice, an engaging lead, and the exploration
of subcultures or niche topics. Feature stories aim to connect with readers on
a personal level by weaving compelling narratives with vivid imagery and
elements that go beyond traditional news reporting, providing a unique and
immersive reading experience.
